I am going to paint the interior drivers side door and cannot figure out how to get the fuzzy out of the door. It's the long piece, on the inside with the chrome trim.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The Fisher manual I have isn't much help.

    Thanks

I believe depending on your car you will have to loosen the window stops and lower the glass inside the door or low enough to get to the screws holding the fuzzy and chrome to the door. I think there are 3 of them, the middle one is the tough one.

Hopefully that is what you were asking?

Car I'm working on is my avatar.

The fisher body manual says to remove the door glass for some of the applications, but nothing specific about the problem I'm looking at.

Guess I'll take out the window.

    Thanks

Just remove the stops and lower the window. Much easier.

    Gary,
Are you trying to take to outside beltline moulding off? My passanger one just came loose when I rolled the window up one day. Must have been a rotten screw. But I did find a screw under the bottom side around the front of the vent window which the trim looks like it snaps onto and holds the moulding down in the front. Be careful taking the moulding off.

Figure it all out so you can come do mine once I get ready.

    Almost forgot Hows retirement?

Todd this is the chrome strip on the inside of the door. Little thin piece of metal.

Found out that is held on by clips.

What retirement? Company hired me on as a "consultant to get warehouse/service center started in Kentucky.

    Hopefully unemployed by May.

Got to get over and meet up.

Hi Gary, I just did mine, there are 7 clips that have a finger with a lock on them to snap into the door, the only way is to get a long screw driver and go from inside the door up and gently pry this locking tap tward the oustside, while doing that gently lift on the fuzzy and it will release, it's a long process, but it will work, as the other Guy's say, be very careful.
