Can someone tell me how the new reproduction window fuzzies are installed on the inside door panels?

The reason I ask is, my old fuzzies are stapled through the metal of the door panel. I can not see driving a staple through this metal in my shop at home.

    Thanks

Did the repro window fuzzies come with hardware? Usually there are small phillips head screws that come with weatherstrip. You have to drill a small pilot hole and attach. In the past I have used small aluminum mandrel rivits (no rust).
    Thanks Mel

My kit from Repops comes with new staples. The instructions tell me to use the staple holes (already placed in the new pieces) as a template to drill small holes in the door panels, then insert the staples and bend over manually with a pliers.
I suppose if you didn't have this, you could fabricate your own staples out of stiff wire. Anyway, Repops advise to not use screws or rivets as these will be visible. Staples are the best solution, just not a simple one for us restorers.
