I'm helping my father-in-law, replace the window regulators in his 69 GTO. Anyone know the proper proceedure? It's not in the chassis service manual. I tried searching, however, I'm not at home and they do not have Hi Speed :Dou:

Window up or down, just the simple stuff and I can figure it out. I take it a 69 Buick Regulator is the same as a 69 GTO?

    Thanks,

    Rich

Going by memory here, but I think window up. I gladly accept correction from anyone if I am remembering wrong though!

The only 69 Buick regulator that would be the same as GTO would be Skylark.

Window needs to be up, at least 3/4, and held in place with a soft wedge, such as a wadded up ball of masking tape. Use the guy with the thinnest arms and have him wear a long sleeve shirt(lots of sharp edges in there)

Thanks! So I put the window down, remove the door panel, roll the window up, block it from falling, and replace it. Got it Thanks :TU:

    Thanks for the tips :TU:

The rolled up masking tape made it easy! Got it back together and even got to take the GTO for a beat lap :3gears:

Not a Buick but, sure felt good to drive a real car!
