I have done a search for window fuzzys and got some info, but I am trying to source the vertical u-channels for the from doors as well as the inner and outer fuzzy pieces. What are the vertical window guides called? Looking at 396Chevelle and Ames Pontiac as suppliers, but not sure what to order to get everything I need. I hate to get something and then have to return it. Correctness is good, but proper fit and function is more important. Thanks
You did not include the year you are asking about. A guess http://www.ebay.com/itm/66-67-Cheve...ts=Model:Chevelle&hash=item43a7ae7404&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Metro-Q...ick|Model:Skylark&hash=item43c91a662f&vxp=mtr
Victim is a 1966 Skylark hardtop. I need the long channel guides that fit to the front vent window and the back of the front door glass. (U shaped channels the glass rides up and down in.) Plus looking for the inner and outer window seals (fuzzys?). I'm repainting my front door interior and decided to replace this stuff as everything is apart at this time. Also, the rubber that holds the glass into the window mechanism, are the small pieces preferred over on long piece? I've seen both advertised.
Ok, followed advice here and went to the 396 web page. Got everything I ordered, but appearently I didn't know the correct terminoniligy for what I needed. I'm still trying to find the channels that the front glass slides up and down in. It is a molded piece in the front, and I think I have found that one, but no joy on the smaller piece that is located down in the rear of the front door. This piece guides the window up and down. Anybody point me in the right direction? I called 396 but will have to wait until Monday to talk to the tech rep.
