I recently bought a set of 67 convertible wipes (PUI Original series) for a good deal on e-bay. However, the outside wipes on these have a thin chrome bead, while my car has the chrome door reveal molding option. Do I need another set or does the one with the chrome bead somehow fit under the reveal molding? And, how do you remove the reveal molding? Thx, Byas
PUI makes the correct set for without the thin chrome bead. I bought mine through Postons years ago when they were in business.
I have the reveal moulding as well, there are screws that hold the trim on to the door as well as the clips for the felts. I do have the thin chrome bead and if I remember correctly I was sent the incorrect ones first from "oldbuickparts" and was told that what they sent was correct for my car and somebody must have changed the trim parts around on my car. The incorrect ones had a wider bead and wider rubber strip on the outside of that or something like that.
