    Mike,

Try John Osborne. He has been doing this for many years and is a great person to deal with. He will answer his phone and talk to you until all your questions have been answered. He is a straight shooter, and will get it right. You should think about letting him convert your distributor from points to electronic and recurve it for performance, if you have not done so already. (I am assuming that you have a points type distributor.)His number is: 270-737-4467. I hope this helps.

    Regards, John.:TU:

JO charges something like $250, depending on what needs to be done/replaced. He runs the carbs on his own cars before they are sent back to you. He has setups on different cars to most closely match the setup you have, so he gets the tune very close, if not dead on.

That sounds like something I need.

My '73 GS stage1 starts and runs fine. In the coldest of winter, there may be problems. The Quadrajets are good all-around carbs, and I am happy with mine. It's matched by vacuum to the secondaries, and responds well when flooring the throttle.

But it runs VERY lean. When I had the cold weather problems, it was cured by setting the fast-idle cam, and pumping the gas (a LOT). The spark plugs are absolutely clean
