Won't Switch Pitch - any ideas?

No end in sight for my rebuild troubles...

The SP 400 is not changing pitch. The solenoid makes a good solid "click" when I throw 12V to it, but I've got no high stall. It's got a new 3700 high stall converter in there, but I had the same problem with a 4000 stall unit last year.

Next stop is the local tranny guru, wanted to knock out any of the typical problems first.

Hey Clint, good to see you are still around. How's the car coming?

Can you test the voltage on the other side if the solenoid? It activates by throttle position right? Or do you have a toggle switch set up on it?

I'm sure you will figure it out. I gotta get down there one of these days to see Ken. I'll give you a shout and see if we can hook up for a beer.

Was it working fine at some time in the past? There's a restriction plug (orifice) in one of the case passages directly behind the front pump...if that's left out you'll get nothing as you've described.

Hey drop in any time, beers always cold. The 67 is pretty mucht he same, changing out the tires and wheels to something a little nicer. Wagon is actually something to see now, leaves nice long black marks on the road. Looking into another Calgary meetup in July this time out, I'll email everyone...

Yeah, it's 12V at the input to the solenoid. It's switched by an RPM switch in the cab or a toggle override, both of which are working fine. I get a good solid click from it each time.

...yep, right before I had a rebuild done on it. I'll bet good money they bunged that up. I figure the car is heading to the local racing transmission guru.
