WOOPIEE!!!! got a job offer finally. will I take it.....? most likely. it will be some nice big block money. :TU: i can finally start to get my skylark up to snuff. though I should also look into getting myself into a house while the intrest rates are so low. and student loans. but my daily driver should make it another 4 yrs atleast... Nate
company Briggs and Stratton its not exactly a true engineering position but it will do for a few years and there is a lot of orginazation of people involved (management??) and I can't pass the $$$. and its a big company so transfering positions shoulden't be too bad either. and its a great company to work for though I hear not as good as when Fred Stratton stepped down. Nate
Up Up and Away ........ :bglasses: Congrats to ya !!! It's a step forward . Use it as a stepping stone and .... :TU: :TU:
Congrats Nate:TU: One suggestion if you get that house you spoke of.... DO NOT tell your neighbors you work for Briggs and Stratton! I can hear it now every week-end,regardless of your actual job description. "Nate?, you mind taking a look at my mower for me, you work with mowers don't you?"ou: Unless the owner is a babe, you don't want to start that habit.  Just messin with ya, congratulations on the job though,I believe a celebration this week-end is in order :beer
John, It's cool I actually like workin on old mowers and such... (yea seems all briggs mowers need work) anyways it would take away from bigblock time though.. ahh yes... I have visions of big blocks dancing in my head this holiday season. hmm... where to put an engine... at the parents garage... Nate
Nate, I've got a storage locker in Palatine with enough space for another spare engine if you're desparate. My mini bike had a pull start B&S engine on it when I was a kid. No end to what they can do.
Congrats !! ....and on the house thing.....Do It !!! I bought mine 2 years ago and its value has really increased and the return on investment is HUGE!!!!!!!! To simplify....... I pay ~$2,000/mo mortgage, SO I've put out $48,000 in 2 years. The house has gone up over $90,000 since I bought it so thats just under 50% increase in two years on what I've put out
