I would have to ask myself "What could I do with $4000 to advance my project?"

If you buy it, you may end up having to fix two cars and never finish even one.

But then again, you may have way deeper pockets than me.

Well the thought of having to fix two cars instead of one should be thought about but aside from that, if it's solid, running good and in a condition that you can enjoy it might be worth the money.

First off you need to price a new set of tires, next you need to see the elusive bent fender that is missing from the pictures.

Like you said, not a lot of information but I would assume 2 barrel 350 at this point and be happy to see otherwise.

From a money standpoint, what is it worth to you to have a car to enjoy this summer?

If the interior looks like it's 40 years old with 132k miles on it, engine runs good but not a powerhouse, you may have a hard time getting your money back.

But... is it worth coming out $500 to $1000 behind in the end to have a car to drive while you work on yours, I would probably go for it.

Like Tim suggested, I wouldn't buy it if it involves more than the tires and a tune up. You do not want another project to compete with your main goal!!

Save your cash and pour it into your project. Most projects stall because of poor cash flow, keep yours going with the money you would spend on the blue car. If you want to enjoy a fun car for the summer, go rent a convertible for a weekend or two.

My current project is completely funded. I am hopefully going to inspect this car tomorrow, I will take more pictures, and get more information. Stay tuned!

Not to change the thread but for you guys here in Calgary there is a GS on kijiji. The person who ran the add called it a 69, but I am sure its a 70. He was asking 16000 for it, which seems a little high maybe. Anyways I was going to post it on the cars for sale leads but I can't figure out how to post a link. I emailed him yesterday but no response.
