I searched parts wanted and parts for sale forum back as far as forum would let me and did not find Mike nor Adam posting for repros. Did however find repros for non AC car clamps.

I have a nice new non AC car clamp that I would be willing to swap for a metal tie wrap for an AC car.

let me know if you want to part with your original.

    DL,

Here is a pic of the clamp for an AC car. It looks like a tie strap not sure if metal or plastic. Do you know if metal?

    James,

Here is a pic. I am pretty sure it is for a non AC car. The one I am looking for is for an AC car and it is a tie strap ( see pic from 1970 Service Manual)

    Rick,

Here is the strap I think you are looking for. I also am showing a pic of one installed on the car.

If this is what you want, p.m. your address and I'll reply to you with mine.

    Thanks.

PS - does anyone know how to prevent pictures from being rotated when using an iPhone?

    James,

That looks like the one pictured in the 1970 Service manual. The strap looks rough - is it rusted? I am looking for one in excellent condition or one than can be easily cleaned up to look like new. I have a 70 GS that was recently restored and want to put on parts that reflect restoration. Also could you measure the lenght of the strap?

It is in excellent shape, it's just 45 years old. It is galvanized and will clean up well. I will restore it before I send it to you. All it takes is a little steel wool and soaking in metal conditioner.

Here are some pictures after I cleaned it up. I've also included a picture showing the length, for someone else who was wondering how long they are.

Thats a nice original one. There are 2 sizes of those and I bought them both from Nick while at Norwalk a few years back. that was the year that the limemist car was there as a restored chassis with drivetrain. I bet I have pics somewhere. I think I never use them but would have to go on a search to find them. I wonder if he still has them.
