My Sandlewood interior is finally done and I'm happy with it except the Saddle steering wheel is too dark for the rest of the interior. I'd like to locate a correct rallye steering wheel for a Sandlewood interior or, at least a lighter one that goes with everything else. I could either do a trade for the Saddle wheel I have or buy outright and sell mine later on. What do you have? I'd like one in as nice shape as the one I have which is very nice with good grain and the correct horn button.

BTT. Anyone steer me to a Sandlewood steering wheel? Or, at least one that is lighter than the one I have.

Rkammer, if you can't find a wheel you could use SEM's coatings to change the color of your existing wheel. I just did mine and it came out nice. Easy project for a enthusiast to do.

Will the SEM coating hold up to frequent use without cracking? Available in spray cans?

You would want to clean it with lacquer thinner , then rubbing alcohol, then mist a lit coat of adhesion promoter the light coats of the paint, it will hold up for a good while but will get thin if you don't move your hand around. But yes SEM is available in aerosol

Tried that link, Jim and didn't see anything about a steering wheel. Looks like I have to be approved to join that group. I answered approval questions but don't know how long it will take for moderators to approve me. Thanks for the heads up on the wheel.

UPDATE: Mike Garrison just approved me for the group and I've seen the wheel and messaged the seller. We'll see if it's sandalwood or not.
