Wondering if anyone has any new or used 3/4" or one inch white wall tires they want to sell or give away for the cost of shipping? I need P235/70R15 for our 64 Wildcat. They are getting harder to find! UGGH!
PM me or email me. I appreciate your time. Thanks John ruddracing28@hotmail.com

  2. Going through this myself. The 235/70-15 WSW is becoming a very endangered species. Just ordered a set of Hankook Mileage Plus II H725 from Discount Tire, as of Saturday they were still available but the guy had to really look. Mine are actually getting shipped in from overseas and won't be here for another three weeks.

Believe Kumho KR21 might still be available in a WSW, in 225/75-15 but not our beloved 235/70. Other than that I've found nothing.

Great avatar by the way. :TU:

    Overseas, wow!
Mind sharing the price plus shipping?

  4. They're not charging me extra for the overseas part. $120 each, with the lifetime balancing and rotation, but they had a special going for $100 knocked off any set of four tires, so like $95 per tread out the door. If you Startpage the tire size + WSW, you may find other sources, but no guarantees at this point.

That said, I also now seem to recall dropping by Sears a few months ago and they had a Cooper all-season available in WSW but unsure of the size whether 225/75 or 235/70. It's getting to the point where the telephone or dropping by works better than the internet - you literally have to call each place and have them back check the warehouse for some of these discontinued tires.

Yeah, I hear ya, very difficult to find. I had a set of Republic Enterprise tires on the hook, but the guy sold them before I could get to the store to get them! How do ya like that! I will have to check with Fleet Farm or something like that I guess. I hate to put a set of HANKOOK tires on Dee-troit iron! You know what I mean!!?? Oh well....
Thanks for the comment about the avatar, I am a BIG Jennifer Aniston fan!! Love the thigh highs!! :Brow:

  7. Yeah well I got over that one pretty quick when I realized our beloved American companies were mostly producing out of the country anyway. And it turns out Yokohama makes tires here. Whoda thunk. :Dou:

yeahbut,..... Is the Yokohama mama tire company headquartered in the USA? Probably not, and therefore the money goes to support that company in that country. Burns me up I say!

  9. Actually, until I checked just now I assumed the answer was "no." Boy was I wrong! From the Yokohama website:

"Yokohama manufactures and markets world-class tires in North America and around the globe. The headquarters for the U.S. operation is located in Southern California.":bglasses:

I see they have HQ's in Calif, but I would still be hard pressed to buy when they have HQ's in Minato-Ku, Tokyo Japan. But I may find myself with no alternative. :moonu:

BTW....I even checked "tire rack dot com" and they had NO white walls listed for this size!! scary!! :Comp:

  12. Which is why I no longer care much whose name is on the side of the tire. The pickins are far too slim. I need my whitewalls, dammit!
