So I have heard/read that the newer sports mirrors don't work on the older body style other than Camaro f body sport mirrors which work with some convincing...today I pulled a 74 sports mirror off the drivers side of my x-body skylark and eyed it up on my 72... other than bolt holes not aligning on the mounting bracket it looked as though it would work better than a f-body mirror with a little bit of convincing...what am I missing lol.

The one reply I didn't notice before was the. 76 Nova sport mirrors working I am willing to bet they are almost exactly the same as the 74 skylark mirrors!! Are the bases all the same dimensions? And if so where would the point of the oval be from the front of the door on a 72?
