Happy and BLESSED 2009 Guys'n Gals! I have a friend who needs to complete his 70 LOADED Stage 1 vert resto and needs a working REAR DEFROSTER assembly...someone tried to modify a Rivi unit and hacked it up..and its not right. ANYONE got a COMPLETE correct working unit for '70 GS STAGE 1 CONVERTIBLE???? ray: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
     A blessed New Year to you too! ....Haystack Dennis? Advise him to go buy as many lottery tickets as he can afford! After winning the lottery, (odds of which seem more likely than actually finding a complete rear defog set up), then pay for it, he may have enough left over for a nice cheeseburger:beer I have aslo been looking for a couple days ou: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=124974
:gp: Awww, Dave's just showin off:laugh: Then again, retirement is starting to look pretty good now isn't it?
uhhh, Marco... are you insinuating Dave is gonna retire from the sale of this thing?????? ou: ou: ou: ou: ou: ouch. Sounds like my buddy's inkpen will run outa ink writing all those numbers on the check huh.? Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Not at all:TU: I am not even implying Dave has one or two of those....and a check would likley be out of the question anywayou: Just think of all the excercise your pal will get dishing out & counting ALLLLL those Franklins; perhaps Rick H can deliver the set up and return the truck and trailer full of cash to Dave?:Brow:
Dennis, not for sale, just thought I'd send a few photos of what they look like for a 70. If I got rid of 'em I'd have a big blank where they're supposed to fit. I'll bet they could be repro'd. Probably be a small market for them. 71 & 72 plastic ducting is different.
Marko...I just called my friend and told him of our conversations up till now, he started weeping profusely :ball: and hung up on me. ou: Well I guess that pretty-much puts an end to this post huh. Sheeesh. Some people. :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Oh Dennis, don't put all that on me, it is not my bad thing:rant: I also thought about a repop on these when I started my hunt out of pure GREED of course, but I think some RARE option parts are best left unpopped? The simple fact is, everone has a price and I am sure that there is someone out there that for an obscene amount of money would part with one:TU:
Hey doesn't a 1970 Buick wagon with rear defrost and power rear window have the same switch insert? if you look on page 120-358B of the Chassis Manual you see that the switch plate is a double and it is listed as Power Top or Power Tailgate Window with Rear Window Defogger on the bottom.
Steve..71 is different from 70..its a one year only unit. ThanX for the headsup anyway! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
