A big hello to one and all!!

As you can tell by looking to the left,I'm Jimmy, and I'm new.

I don't currently own a Buick, but that's going to change.FWIW,the first car I ever owned was a '72 Skylark Custom with a 350-4,that I bought from a friend in high school. When I got it,it had a GS hood on it,and bucket seats from a '69 GTO.He was in the process of coverting it to a GS350,I think.....it even had a 3.42 Posi in it.What it didn't have was a transmission.I never got it on the road, but that's another story for another day....I never forgot it.My dad has owned a few,the most notable was a '73 Electra 225 that he bought new in '72.That one was sweet....red with a white vinyl top,455,the works.

He bought it because he got a promotion at work,it was his idea of "movin' on up".Unfortunately,it reached the point where it was either the car or the house that he and my mom also bought in '72...

He actually considered keeping the car,and in a strange way,I respect that.

I look forward to everything I'm no doubt going to see here, even the things that'll no doubt make me jealous.....

I'm sorry,I should have clarified. He bought that car in 1972...and traded it away in '75

It obviously left an indelible impression on me,that I remember it so fondly, even today.

I have some pictures of it around somewhere, but they may be a chore to find.I'll try to find the ones I had.-including the ones from the insurance company..:eek2:

I'm going to do the best I can to be there.

    Thanks for the welcomes!!

I want a '68-'72 Skylark Custom Hardtop, preferably with a factory buckets and floor shift combination,a GS hood, and a 350-4.(Not that I've thought about it or anything...:Brow:)Ideally,I want a nice driver for my daily commute (except in the winter). That's a best-case scenario. If I find one that fits the bill except for those things,I'll change it over.

If I could snap my fingers and have one appear,it'd probably be a '72...I have a soft spot for those.

Of course as of now, money is the issue.I've restructured my finances, and I'm saving up now,and if needed (as soon as I find one) I'm getting a second job,and possibly a third....I want one of these cars.

    I'll be there...

Now all I have to do is talk my sister into letting me use her digital camera for the day.
