    Hi all,

Greetings from Iceland. I'm in the process of restoring my '73 Electra, got the engine out - might be looking through this site for some hints on this resto project.

    Regards,
    Ozeki

    Hi Ozeki,

Welcome to the board. :TU: Cant be that many american cars in Iceland or? I once had a 69 Chevelle that had history from Iceland. Anyway, welcome and hope to see some pics of your pride and joy.

Welcome, are there many roads over there to get that big Electra up to cruising speed? And when you get to one side of the island do you just turn around and go back in the other direction  just kidding, have fun with your resto!

    hehe

yea there's enough space to open up the 455, even though I would gain the horses lost from the '70 455 - which I intend to do in the rebuild.

There are some old american cars around, some really nice. But people buy new cars also, I think there is a general interest in cars in Iceland. There are 1.5 inhabitants for each car in Iceland!

A friend of mine, (he's now the editor of Classic American magazine) Ben Klemenzson , grew up in Iceland. He told me that there were loads of American cars on the island, that's where his fascination with these cars started
