im running 20W50 in my car with a bottle of lucas oil stabilizer. Car is running nice and im maintaining 15-25 psi of pressure depending on my rpm level. It goes up to 40-60 above 1200 rpm depending on how fast im reving. (i cruise at 1100 rpm so no biggie) My question is, this oil is still very new, only 1 week old, so when i start the car cold, is the presure always gonna be super high? My gauge was reading 40 when i started the car at idle after the oil change, and as soon as i even touched the gas it would climb to 60. After it got warm, it stabilized aroun 20-25 at idle. Will it do this every time the oil is cold?

Yes. 20w50 is pretty heavy oil...as it heats up it thins out but you will always see higher oil pressure when starting a cold engine.

Some light reading might answer some questions, enjoy:
