I joined this forum because I admire Buicks of all kinds, believing them to be one of GM's finest marques. I'm from Katy, TX, which is west of Houston. Though I am not legal driving age yet, I can handle a car pretty well. I hope to get a 1970-1972 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 for my first car, and while it might seem heresy to some of you, replace the stock four speed manual or automatic with a Tremec T56. Any ideas on the difficulty of the project? I might also want to supe up the engine a bit, even though I think it is tuned extrmely well for a car built 30-plus years ago. Any thoughts?
Welcome! I don't know squat about clutch cars personally, but there are plenty of guys & gals here that do. As a matter of fact, there's a whole forum dedicated to it - I'm sure you'll be able to find all the info you need there. enjoy!
Welcome to DaKubez (and Joe from Katy)..... If you're not aware, check out www.houstonbuick.org; it's our Houston Buick Club website. Great cars & people! Steve
