It hell when a guy makes his first post and he knows he going to catch hell from it. But here goes, i have a 1965 Buick 225 electra 4 door that i'm taking to the crusher. Its something that has to be done and here why i've had this car set for 7yrs at my farm and it needs to go. When i got it it didn't run the tranny was out of it and i needed the motor. Well to tell you a little about what i'm doing. Now most if not all of you guys are here because you love the cars,i'm here because i love the nailhead.When i was 12yr old my brother traded a 1957 corvette to a 1956 chevy with a 401 nailhead in it with a 4 speed. I told him he was nuts (i was 12 he was 19 its a wonder he didn't kick my a$$) it was fasted car around in 1962. So i fell in love with the nailhead motor. The thing is i'm a old Hot Rodder and i have 1936 ford 3w coupe that i'm putting a 425 nailhead Hilborn injection in (thts if i can get it working and a 32 ford 5w coupe that i'm putting a 401 nailhead ( from the 225 electra in) I have a lot of question to ask all of you and i hope you won't hold it against me for what i'm doing,now back to the crusher i still have it and i live in south west Ohio, if someone on this site needs something from a car like this let me know. I can't say if the part will work or if i can get it to you but i will tell you you this it will be "FREE" you can come and take parts "members" need and at least i hope this jester of good will you can forgive me.

Sometimes they are just too far gone to save. I think you are doing the right thing, at least the nailohead will live on! You also gain points for helping out with the parts. good luck with the hot rods!!
