    Howdy!

My first car was a 1981 Regal (with the Pontiac 265 V8), stock but for a TH350 to replace the POS 200. Not the quickest thing in the world, but I pushed her up to at least 113 with no vibration or noise. Died of a blown head gasket and no budget to repair.

Second car was a 2001 Regal LS (with touring suspension option). Died of an idiot driver who couldn't tell that traffic in front of her was stopped and crushed everything aft of the rear wheel wells.

Third was a 1997 Riviera, supercharged. Fast, comfortable, stylish, and startling good gas mileage. Unfortunately, I got it with over 100k on it so I sold it at the first signs of deterioration so I could at least get a good price on it.

Current vehicles: 2003 Chrysler Sebring LXi coupe. Reliable, quick, economical, and IMHO, well styled. Great daily driver. And...
1984 Regal Limited, stock (well, stock + NAPA). Got it for a song in non-running condition. Had fond memories of the '81 and wanted to bring this '84 back to life. Save a Buick from the junkyard and have a nice weekend hobby.

I'm only 26, which I'm told (and most consumer surveys show) is awfully young for a Buick lover. But hey, I love the style, I love the comfort, and I love that nobody expects to get their ass beat by a Buick.

Welcome and your never to young to appreciate the Buicks!!

I had a beautiful 84 plane jane regal with the V6 and loved that car. Remarkebly clean. I bought it for $1000, drove it for 3-4 yrs. I sold it to an older indian guy for 2K, then 1 day later he called me and begged me to take it back cause his wife was going to leave him for buying an older car. So I told him I didn't have his money and got it back for 800 dollars. Put it back in my driveway and then later sold it again for $2500. No bullshit. Thats how clean it was. I still see it around the neighborhood.

Man oh man that car made me some cash!!lol

I fell in love with Buicks at the ripe old age of 5. My Dad had a bunch of '56 Buicks in various trim levels and i loved them. Bought my own first Buick at 13. A 1936 Model 66 SO coupe, straight 8, 3 speed. Kept it until I was 18 and bought my first new GS.

I wish I had found Buicks when I was younger. They really are a nicer more comfortable car than many of the other GM's.

I have to say I enjoy my Skylark more than the Chevelle's or LeMans's I have had in the past.

I always liked the looks of Buicks. The most impressive looking cars to me when I was 7 or 8 were the '59/'60 Buicks. I really got the Buick bug when I got my first car at 14- a '66 Riviera GS.

Okay, so you're a whipper snapper...Back in 1964, at the age of 14 I began driving Dad's 55 special with the 3 speed. Couldn't go far without a license but I just loved the sound of that car winding up through the gears.
Then in 66 Dad let the Special go and got a 65 Electra. I drove that car till 1970 and then I bought a 57 special convertible for the amazing sum of $30.00 . This car had only 55 K and it ran, great...two years later I got my 1st 56 Roadmaster.

Being it was free, all smashed up and a rust bucket, but with only 70 K on it, I got a few years out of it but in 1975 I got the yellow 56 in the avatar here. Then I went though a couple of tons of Buicks. 67 sportwagon, 66 Gran Sport with a 4 speed, 78 Electra, 77 Skyhawk, 79 Somerset T type w/ the 5 speed., 79 Lesabre Estate Wagon, 85 Electra Estate Wagon, 84 Electra Estate wagon and in 93 I bought my wife our first new Buick, a 93 Regal 4 dr custom with the 3800. In 95 I picked up the 69 Electra that I still have. '99 I got my 95 Riviera, and in 2002 I got the 69 GS 400 convertible in the avatar. In 2006 I got my 1st new Buick, a LaCrosse with the 3800.

In between I've owned Chevies, Oldsmobiles, a plymouth valiant, a dodge colt and a bunch of other stuff, but the Buicks were always my favorite, even when they were not as reliable.

Hang in there with the Regal, it's a great car.

I must have been 19 or 20 when I got my '78 Sport Coupe (I'm 28 now), and it is still my favorite of the 20 or so cars I've owned. Stupid Nebraska rust.
