Just picked this up from the Yenko.net forum. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/415166/page/0/fpart/2/vc/1 Paul
**** They just found the stripped hulk of that Orange 63 Belvedere on this reservation. People from the area say they steal several cars every night and strip them there. http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=5291816
This is just terrible!. Pete is such a nice guy.... and his COPO Camaro is stunning! I hope there is a Happy Ending. Dan.
Better start making plans for security at Stanton NOW! Sorry to hear about Petes Camaro. He doesn't deserve this !!
This is sickening and scary at the same time.I hope that somehow this works out.If these reservations are harboring stolen and stripped vehicles, how can this not be dealt with?It seems as if the criminals have more rights than the innocent people anymore.Bring back the "public hanging",and start with these scumbags when they get caught!!
Sorry to hear this. I'm guessing that the reservation police are of little help. Pete, you might ask an investigator with the agency that took the report to contact someone at General Motors Security to check if any GM dealer made a duplicate key for your truck lately. Thieves like to go into the dealership with your VIN (truck) and claim to have lost the keys or locked them in the vehicle and ask for them to make a set. GM tracks keys made by the dealers according to VIN. Of course, the local tribe may have stolen it the old fashioned way by peeling the column. Does the truck have Onstar ?
That just absolutley STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:af: :af: :af: Let's hope for a timely recovery.
My father had a keyed fuel shut off put on his Lincoln. Whenever he left the car, grocery store, shopping center, restaurant, he turned the fuel off. I thought it was overkill at the time, but after having my Firebird stolen off of the driveway, I'm thinking that might be a good idea. That along with about a 4 foot long quick disconnect section of battery cable like is used on welding cables. I know you can't stop a dedicated thief, but you sure can slow them down.
I heard about this yesterday and am absolutely beside myself. Peter and Vicky do NOT deserve this. I don't care if it is an Indian reservation, I'll personally drive to Ontario if you need a hand.
BS they're a bunch of lowlife pussies. This is how Lloyd found his car. People that knew him saw it in someones yard and call the cops. :Smarty:
**** rant: The only good indian is a tech support indian ,and most of them piss me of too. Now lighten up Francis
I cannot stop thinking about this since i heard it last night on woodward. I have posted this on both the corvette forum and NCRS discussion boards. I hope we find something. We all need to get the word out to anybody that you can. Attached is a link to the details of petes car, please pass it on. http://www.yenko.net/features/2002/September2002.htm
I am completely disgusted by this. A terminal disease or bullet would be too good for whomever did this. I hope for a positive resolution.
