Wow this seems a little high considering recent trends! Not a single bidder not Private...pretty uncommon.
After his buddy wins high bid he can put it back in the barn .Heres one you can buy now in the 45K area. http://classiccarsplus.net/thecars/1970 BUICK GS/DSC05623.JPG
I agree with you GSXER. That is a clean looking car you found, nice find. A little :dollar: but nice. Nelson
Its supposed to be a #'s BB trans Stage1 car according to the seller.I cant see it falling much lower than that..but than again realestate gets cheaper by the day.I dont see anyone buying a 30K plus :dollar: project when theres plenty of nice ready to drive now cars around.o No:
Oh...there's no question that car is being shill bid! There's no other reason to hide the ID's on ebay anymore 'cuz they are already hidden. It MAY be being scam bid, that's another possible. Someone bidding sky high because they are going to try to scam it. It's crazy bucks for a project car.
Um...depends on that engine! It's hard for me to believe the stuff taken off the engine was taken off to restore it! Too much stuff is off that engine, it looks suspicious to me. It looks like the engine failed and somebody started to take it apart to pull it. Why not put it together before you sell it? I could have that back together in half a day maybe. If the engine is NG, it makes that car worth a huge amount less in my opinion. I dunno'...what...maybe 6-10K to do the body + paint, maybe more, plus the engine? Absolutely no question the top would need to be done, too! That's maybe about 2K too. So better to buy a car for 45K, 'cuz it still may need engine work. It's way better to buy a finished or mostly finished car at that price. 'Course if you can do ALL the work yourself you would save...maybe! LOL
Not a chance this car is worth that kind of :dollar: Needs a resto and conveniently does not run. Buyer beware as has been indicated. Plus the "Earth Tone" color effect does not help.
Carl. The POBF for the car GSXER linked indicates it should be Harvest Gold, but it appears to have changed. It looks like '71 Cortez Gold to me. Jim J
Okay spoke with him. Says Wayne Roberts came over and verified the car. Has a replacement '70 date coded block. no carb. Sounds like a nice car though. Bottom dollar is 65K. DL
Thats odd when I spoke with him at length this past summer,he said it was totally @ #'s car.It was also posted for sale in the fixed price for section ,I think for about 50k.It was the "v-8 classified Ads & auctions section.
The one being referred to is the one in the picture for 45k. Right??? Not the car on ebay. Could you clarify which car are your talking about. Thanks
Don,I thought you referenced the one on ebay.Thats the one I'm talking about. The other finished car is at Over street classics for 45k.
