We're all anxiously awaiting the results and seeing this all come to fruition, Sean. As the old saying goes, Rome wasn't built in one day.
Very cool! Yes things sound very promising with the heads so far... They are enlarging the intake ports now while being sure to not go too large which would kill the velocity. He was talking about possibilities of even larger than originally planned sizes... Flow testing is showing good results already. Very exciting!
They do great work. I remember when they did my heads the flow numbers where as good as others when I posted them. I remember they said we could do more but wouldn't help for my build. I need to visit Gary Paine soon so maybe I will stop in and check out your parts lol
Subscribed! Just read thru the whole thread and have learned a ton. Very interested in seeing the final build results and picking up a copy of the book. Great work Sean!
While waiting for the alum heads I built a garage, and will be building a big shop as well soon: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/built-a-home-for-my-regal.327339/
Still waiting on the alum heads. I won’t use my good engine with iron heads, it’s the best if the best, no short cuts. I have been playing with a few new toys though... 17 gmc, 03 Tahoe, 03 Yukon, Vette, and a 2 stroke Polaris atv... oh And been busy building a new house.
Im keeping busy!! Building a new house, lifted my 2012 truck and now going headers and exhaust. The house is amazing. 41 foot deep third bay and 11 foot ceiling. 2 post lift, welders, plasma, floor drains, very cool. Oh and my car will be in Car Craft soon they sent me the cover photo!
I am doing some minor things to my 75 Regal this winter then putting it on the road in spring..... I miss driving that big cruiser... has a SP code 315 Hp engine and a 2004R trans. I installed my new headers and magnaflow exhaust on my new used truck... sounds great! I have been working on the computer tune with EFI live programming and this thing is really waking up! I started at 305 Hp at the wheels on the chassis dyno and it’s done a best of 345 Hp at the tires as of yet. It’s a L-96 version of the 6.0 so it’s 10:1 compression, runs on 93 octane fuel.
