Hi there guys... In preparation for putting a Buick 350 into my lifted 1991 GMC stepside I built this garage, it will also serve as a nice home for my Regal...

I was running out of space in my 2 car garage at our main house so I built this garage at our lake home. The next step is building a larger garage for a lift, but gotta save up cash for that.

I was having an issue with water pooling around this side of the house, so the garage also solved that problem... It is 28 feet deep and 20 feet wide, I did a steep roof so the snow will slide off easily. It is only 5 feet tall on the one end but that is fine as it is mainly for storage of my regal on that side, plus I am short LOL!!!

The first 5 pics are my attached garage that I ran out of space in..

Now onto the garage build... Because the garage is pretty small I used this 16.5 foot long cube off my car hauler truck as a workshop behind the garage to add space:

I also built this parking spot for my car hauler... I was sick of the mud, this is so strong that the cement truck drove on it without breaking it... I also used it to keep the walls straight while building the garage.

I built it all myself after work each day over the past two months, I love having a backhoe very handy!!!

The next step after I get a few vehicles rebuilt is to built a big shop for a lift...

I started with some empty space beside the house:

Added a 150 pound steel door between the garage and the cube, it is only 6 inches step up into the cube and it is levelled off with a slight slope away from the garage.

Added a better lock on the roll up door since this pic:

Plenty of height to drive my lifted truck in... That is needed as my 1991 GMC Stepside truck is getting some HUGE tires and it has a 10 inch lift..

I added a storm door for two reasons:

    1. keep snow out of the door frame
    2. Security, I can now park an old truck against the door so no one can even get at the dead bolted door... Angle iron secures the swing out doors from the inside... Also an alarm system and 16 cameras that stream video to my phone!

Great work Sean! I especially dig the cylinder head rack. Inspiration for my own garage someday.

Lol yeah I was mad at first but it's funny now... my son thought it was super funny!!! It's not my cat but the neighbors... no mice around our houses he's a good boy...

Thanks, I like it too... I have about 20 engines so it's a pain tripping over parts.

Two separate houses buddy... 2800 square foot house on a small lot in the city and a 700 square foot house in the country with a huge yard lol!

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Isn't that the way it goes. Bet you wish you could magically switch the house locations.
