At first glance, this looked like a nice electric wall fireplace. Then I noticed it was just a wooden box for a bunch of junky iron heads!
Lol!! Well there is a nice natural gas heater in there.... gotta keep it toast when it's -25 lol... just think the garage was not even insulated when we bought the house. I am pretty good at building stuff, and I have the tools...
That's the nice thing about our place here in the 'Park; it was insulated and drywalled. Even at -25 it's warm enough inside to melt ice. But that also shows you how sh---ty the insulation is, the house loses heat to the garage. Consider yourself fortunate to have the patience to build stuff; - I do a good engine, but can't saw or nail a stick to save my life.
The ford, yeah it runs... 5.0, pretty slow compared to my Buick but it's a good handling car. I actually have another ford it's a 2001 dually E-450 with 7.3 turbo I'm building as a car hauler, adding this deck this winter so I don't have to pull trailers around with various vehicles I am buying, selling, or carting around. I took the cube off the E-450 to use as a workshop. I had an old 4x4 ford tow truck but I sold that... also sold my ford bucket truck so now down to 2 fords... oh I guess 3 my backhoe is a ford crap... lol
Yeah I hear ya... our house is only 6 years old so it is really efficient.. 5 bedroom house and it only cost about $80 a month to heat during the winter.. I did Roxul insulation in the garage and OSB and it made a huge difference even before adding the heater...
It’s 0 degrees C (32 F) here today and the sun is melting my igloo! They were calling for a super cold winter this year but I have not seen colder than -20 yet...
No the flood insurance cost has gone through the roof since global warming. I have not seen colder than -35 in about 5 years, we are melting up here.
Yeah, I haven't experienced that kind of dry dry cold since North Bays winter Carnival back in 1991. Cousin and I were out on lake Nippissing in his '85 GMC 4X4, SCARY cold, but fun
