I’ll be cleaning and painting my ‘70 GS hood underneath. A local auto painter calls the correct shade “Hot Rod Black. So, what is the correct shade and what percentage of gloss,

Also, where can I obtain the correct hood insulation pads for under the hood? (I know the factory didn’t insulate the hood around the air inlets.

Hot Rod Black will work maybe a shade flatter. You can use gloss black with 33% flatter. I know Duane used to make them, not sure if he still has some????

Todd has the most correct insulation just gotta use the extra big piece to cut the correct 4in hole

For anything other than a 400 pt concourse car the Sem hot rod black is very close

What 4 inch hole? I have a removable 8 inch piece over the air cleaner with the wrong insulation but, what's a 4 inch piece?
