Yeah, I know the carb is wrong. Its off a 70 Chevy probably a Chevelle. I have one from a 68 Buick 350 but it needs rebuilt. This one works for now so I bolted it back on.
The original carb melted in the fire.
Oh thanks for the spring info..I'll have to check into that

I broke the spring trying to hook it up :Dou:
It was old and rusty anyways so I replaced it with a aftermarket new one.
I skinned the hec out of my knuckles when she let loose....dang I hate it when that happens!

    hey Alex
    The ignitor came from Pertronix
    Part # PNX-1181LSC $74.95
You will also need the Pertronix Flame Thrower 40,000 volt Coil in choice of Black or Chrome finish.
    Part # PNX-40011 (Black) $29.95
    PNX-40001 (chrome) $26.95

A friend of mine told me it was probably the best $100.00 I've spent so far.
    No more problems with points.

    The guys at the Factory

Hey Craig; Lets not be too hard on "The guys at the Factory",some of them are members of this board and built the best cars in the land!! Just kidding. Us Shop Rats are used to taking a beating, but as far as i'm concerned you just cant beat a Buick and i'm proud to say I spent 35 years in the Flint factory. But getting back to your car,you are doing a great job! One that I would like to do but would never attempt.Make sure you take plenty of pictures and post them,I Love the 67 body style and it looks like yours is going to turn out great!!PONCH :beer :beer

    Hey Ponch65.
I agree..you guys did a great job at putting these cars together. I wont blame you personally..especially since my car was built in Framingham. You must be proud to have been on the team that built these cars when you see them still on the road today. I'll be posting more pics as the project develops.
This has taken over a huge part of my life right now.
Look what happened yesterday.....I found 4 Rims. I'm estatic!

:bglasses: I havent updated this thread in a while so here are some more current pics of my car.... I've taken it to a few events/ cruise-ins/ car shows/ etc. Still getting the bugs worked out with some fluid leaks/ exhaust/ and some tinker stuff, but the car did pass Pennsylvania State Inspection On Oct 1 2005. The trouble is... now all I want to do is drive it and not work on it!
