Well here's a few shots of my new to me ride, Matilda. I bought it in December 2010 and had it trucked to me around the 1st of Jan 2011.

It is a 1970 Buick GSX Tribute Car with a Stage One 455 and a Turbo 400 with a "switch pitch" installed.

Matilda was born from a GSX that was to far gone, That's why I call her a Tribute Car... I guess it's as close as you can come ( as close as I can come :Brow: ) to the real thing as a real GSX was used to create her...

I've been doing some minor repairs and replacing wearable parts and it should be ready to roll soon. I ordered Vanity Plates for it and I should have those soon, than I can register it and get a sticker and be all set to cruise around town.

Here's some shots from the auction and some that I snapped when I 1st got it. Now that the weather is nicer I'm going to snap a few outside as soon as I can.

    :beers2:

That is more beautiful than the real deal! Well Done!:beers2:

My '70 Stage 1 will not be a "tribute" or "clone" of a GSX, but will be the White version of yours!
(I've already had a Yellow one; '71 Skylark done as a GSX Stage II.)

Thank you everyone. Yes it is a sweet looking car, that's why I bought it when I saw it :Brow: .

I'm having to fix a few minior things, the guys that owned it before me had repair or dealer plates so they didn't have to registar it. Because of that the horn didn't work, the washers didn't work, there was one seat belt missing, the heater hoses weren't hooked up.

    Little stuff like that.

I'm trying to replace the belts and hoses. I'm having trouble finding the right upper hose (I think I've got that figured out now) as it has a large HEI unit in it as well as the snokel and a offenhauser manifold. So with no part number marked on the hose it has been a trail and error to find the correct hose to fit. As I said I think I have that set, I'm going to work on it tomorrow so I will know for sure if I have the correct hose this time  .

Hopefully next week I can swing down to the registry and pick up my plate, I ordered a speical vanity plate for it, then I can get the sticker and enjoy my 1st cruise around town :TU: looking forward to it.

    Thanks again :3gears:

I have been trolling a few other car forums and I found Coolridesonline.net http://forums.coolridesonline.net/index.php

I've been posting some over there ( had to do something while our site was down :) :ball: :) ) .

Well I have been honored by their site, I was chosen to be their "Featured Member Of The Week" http://forums.coolridesonline.net/showthread.php?t=1986

I'm hoping to move onto the "Ride of the Month" and then the "Ride of the Year" contests, but only time will tell with that.

But for now I'm real happy that I was chosen to be the FMotW by the Gold Eagle Company. I thank them :TU: .

So I just wanted to share that we have a Buick, from our site, out there getting attention instead of all those Chevy / Ford / MOPAR want to be's :) :) :) .

    Thanks

    David
