Max Damage I'm working on it!

Pretty sure we would all feel lucky to buy Jason's "piles" of parts, as Fred has done.

You really are a tool and take this BS too personally.

I don't care about your car (unless it's a convertible and it's for sale)...

It is depressing, but it's REALITY.

I looked at 25 cars before I bought mine. I could go on and on about the dirtbag dealers, scumbag auction sites and flat out lying sellers.

Why would you let people you don't know change your mind?

    (cool car, BTW)...

I guess my documented 58K original mile/paint '70 Stage 1 4-speed that still retains its born with Muncie M21 and "ON" 3.64 rear is worthless.

Or Dave Johnson's former '70 GSX 4-speed frame off (without the original motor) that took gold at the GS Nationals, Best In Show at Musclepalooza and a couple other major events that escape me.

It also hammered at Mecum for $135K. Twice.

I'm with Fred: time to part and scrap mine.

    Definition of Restoration.

Restoration of a vehicle refers to the process of restoring a vehicle to its original condition. Neither updating nor modifying are considered part of the restoration process. A restored car is one that has had all of its systems and/or parts restored to original condition.

So this definition means to me,
does not say you have to use original replacement parts to restore a car to original condition.

I expect, this is because auto manufacturers do not produce OEM parts for cars that are 50+ years old. So that leaves the aftermarket to fill-in the gaps
    For replacement parts.

When I bought my 70 GS 455, I didn't expect to find a car with all its construction, supensition, parts and drivetrain the way it rolled out on the factory in December of 1969. :D Vet

    What's that supposed to mean?

Sometimes it doesn't even take 50+ weeks. If there is a running change during the model year, all replacement parts from that point forward will be of the later design. So finding a "original whatever" might be like looking for hens teeth.

:)It is original the day it rolled off the assembly line in 69 70 71 72 73.
50 plus years later nobody knows. It is restored to someones best ability and knowledge at the time
Alain platinum 442 4spd A/C being restored now;)

I bought the car years before I looked it up on the V8 board. No one changed my mind. I bought the car not knowing anyone in the Buick community.
I would think some people out there would have second thoughts on buying a car that had so many bad things said about it on a board of so called Buick experts, or lets say at least knowlegeable about these cars. Just like some people rely on the commenters on Club forums and BAT sometimes.

I bought the first Buick I ever looked at 4 years ago. I have bought 4 out of 5 Buicks I have looked at since. I have my eye on 3 more that have many flaws that I would like to buy. Some may argue that you have a bad attitude as a consumer. You seem to think the market owes you everything on a silver platter. It's not a bad thing to accept a product as its presented.

I do give you credit as a tenacious SOB. I would happily argue with someone over the weather, gravity, friction, you name it? At the end of the day I would hope to be left with my dignity and respected, you sir, have lost both.

Bad attitude as a consumer? Are you on crack - what are you even talking about (silver platter)? Keep drinking the kool aid...

I agreed to move on, but please reread the definition you referenced, as it is difficult for me to understand how this post could be considered anything other than trolling.

Wow, that’s a wonderful GSX! Seems it may have had a couple (desireable) options added.
Pretty obvious whoever did the work-restoration and changes was no hack and certainly knew these cars. No reason this shouldn’t go big $$, more than couple people are going to want this one to the end, and they should.

Mine is! More rare than rocking horse poop. A one-of-one Wildcat with Electra interior. I know, 'cause I made it so.
