On what basis would this be one of 16? There were definitely more Stage1 convertibles than 16. The color? I didn't think available records could break the production numbers down on color and options combined. http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/7/8/86908478.htm
Not surer but I bet it wasa hard to find that elusive white plastic strip tie , man those are chicken lips
A freind of mine has one 71 Stage 1 triple black with all the toys, N25 bumper, 12 bolt, everything. Tim
When it gets down to it, each of our cars is one of one built with that particular serial number:Brow: Dan
True, but if you've got a swapped in motor and trans with different serial numbers maybe it would be one of two or three...
I believe it is one of 16 because I heard the same thing when inquring about my 1971 cortez gold stage 1 convert fully loaded. same deal.
ou: Sorry just clicked up the pix and saw it was my car. I just got the cruise servo. Had a change of heart even the wife NOT SELLING OUR CAR. Calling car trader to cancel ad
Went to A.C.. was up for 95,000. Had offer at 85,000 didn"t take the money. took her home and learned a lesson or too. In any case their was a 1971 GS Stage 1 Convert 4 speed (one of the 9) at A.C. with a reserve of 135,000. He was offered 105,000. He took the car home too. He is now going to be in Barrett-Jackson March 31 in Palm Beach. Good luck to him, he should do well it is a nice looking car.
Barrett Jackson is becoming as bad as Ebay. Your not seeing real money either place. We can't take any of the "sales" as real values. The same "sold" is back up for sale again in weeks. If your waiting for those numbers it's going to be several years away, only if the market stays strong. If you really want to sell these cars you have to look a realistic prices. Look at Hemi Cudas, the bubble has popped and if your holding your car at $250 get ready to eat crow.
This is part of the reason we did not sell or will not be selling in the future. It would have been hard to see our car for sale again and again. We saved it from the crusher, and spent alot of time finding the orginial parts, and resto it. Even the elusive tie clips! The pictures are old @ least 2yrs from date. To make a long story short I'd rather be poor and have that something special staying in the garage. On a nice spring day I have to say I'm the only one in town taking my buick for a spin, see alot of chevelles, and 69 camaros too. But not to many Buicks. It makes it worth more than the money. Lesson learned:bglasses:
Well then... I guess that makes my ALL-PARTS racecar 1 of 75 then..It took 75 cars to muster up enough parts to build it...:TU: :TU:
I think this is the car at A.C. http://www.bpgforums.com/showthread.php?t=4756&highlight=atlantic+city
I wasn't trying to be sarcastic toward your car I was being a doofus, I meant that my 70 Skylark is made of several parts from several cars hence the ALL-Parts name its been tagged with.As a matter of fact,Cortez Gold happens to be one of my favorite colors. I especially like the 71 X's in that color. And Pearl white....Now thats a great interior color, but one I will never be able to own as I am a slob with white. Just ask my wife about my white/grey colored socks...Nice car.
No harm done, all is Good. Trust me when I say I seen my husband's socks. He built, and I drive it.:TU: Kim
