Thanks, Bobby" THIS IS NOT MY CAR but I know the owner. You can connect with the person you need to speak with at 919 395 7836. There are pics but I cannot get them to post.
Jim, Is this Bobby Bennett? I bought a 78 Camaro Z28 with 4 speed from him a few years ago. Had a lot of fun with it, and he seems like a pretty straight shooter.
Yes this is the same person. Stunning car is person. They even bought NOS fabric from SMS to do the interior. It looks better than a 72 GTO because the front end looks better. Is anyone available for an assist on posting the pictures?
Great work on the pics Bruce. That is the correct steering wheel. Pontiac had its own flair. You could also get this same car with a Pontiac 455.
Beautiful car! Would this be Lucerne Blue? Found one of these in a junkyard a few years ago but it was pretty well stripped. I've always liked the off beat stuff like these GTs, the Heavy Chevy Chevelles, and the like.
Jim do you know the car and the person selling it? I showed a friend out here and he is talking with the wife. Transporting it would be an issue.
Yes, I know the car, owner and the person that painted it. The paint looks so good because the car had never been painted and the sheet metal was in great shape. I helped change the rotor button, points etc. recently. Lord I hate those distributors when they are in the back. Most people have never seen one. The guy is getting another car and has no room for two. We have a transport broker close by we use. He says he can keep it inside until you are ready for pick up based upon a break in the weather.
Thanks for noting the wheel is original--I was thinking it must be aftermarket, or off a later Firebird or Camaro.
neat car, I like it.... I had a girlfriend in HS that had a white '71, thing ran like a raped ape for what it was this is a fair deal IMO
For me, I wouldn't be a buyer, the bench seat columm shift kills it....but I do dig it because you never see them anywhere
When you look at eBay and the BJ auction you realize how few cars are out there this nice for the money.
