I seriously think this event will be called due to the hurricane on it's way. Stay tuned for an announcement from the organizers !

I'm Optimistic . I believe the Bad weather won't get this far north on Friday or Saturday . Lets hope it stays south a couple of days

These storms can be 400 miles wide. You don't need a direct hit for it to ruin our day(s). If it hits in North Carolina, that's plenty close enough.

I'm not a naysayer or a pessimist, as a matter of fact I'm usually a little over-optimistic. However, if the event gets cancelled would it be the track that pulls the plug or would it be event organizers?

I just called Cecil County Dragline and they are announcing everything is on as scheduled...

Just saw that Maryland declared State of Emergency Friday 7AM due to the hurricane. Not sure what that means for the meet.

Florence = 536 miles in diameter to be precise. When you are close to the eye like us, what's another 36 miles?

I think what the gov of our State ( Maryland ) is doing making people understand that the Chesapeake bay
funnels more water then the shoreline can retain .
We have had very high tides since Friday , about 2' above normal tide .
Before it got dark , I noticed the water was over the neighbors bulkhead, high tide at Bowleys Bar ( nearest tide marker )
is at 11 pm so this should be interesting.
We will surely get more then normal high tides out of this storm .
Everyone to the South of Maryland stay SAFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
