You going to make it? Weather for Sat has taken a turn for the better. Been meaning to reply to your PM. Been way too scattered last couple weeks.

    Sadly, No.
Just finished up at IMTS in Chicago and decided to head home instead. I’ve got a bunch of work to do before the Nationals.

Just heard from Dave and Dan Chait. They went 8.34 @ 160 with the Tomahawk motor. He bought the motor from Frank (Cellguy), 560 CID, 1040 HP @7500

Here is a picture of the car at Cecil in 2014,

We had a light turnout because of weather I guess but it turned out to be partly sunny in the low 80's but humid. Cars were running FAST. Bob Quigg ran his best ever with his 66GS Nailhead. 80 year old Bob stopped the clocks at 10:96@119.78 in qualifing & I believe he went 10:91 during competition!!! Dan Chait with his 70 GS with the new motor he bought from Frank Oliva went 8:34@160 & with some chassis tuning may get it into the low 8's!! John Jr turned up the procharged Tomahawk block Skylark at the end of the day & managed a 9:12 @149 spinning the tires in high gear. He will be looking for an 8 second time slip in BG.
Quick 16 winner was Will Lanier with his 70 GS and runner-up was Bruce Wilson with his 455 powered Jaguar. The V8 class was won by Greg Gessler over Yardley & the V-6 class was won by Jason Salvator over Tim Gawlik.
Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone that attended. BIG THANKS to all our sponsors as well that are listed on the back of the flyer at the top of this post.

Also I want to congratulate Jim Ramsey for cutting 2 perfect .000 lights Friday night back to back! For his accomplishment Harold Rolls donated a huge tool set that I handed to Jim. Will try & load pictures tomorrow.

Most drivers never cut a perfect light in their life. Jim had 2 in a row.:)
