I thought I hurt it, but it ended up being head gaskets. My loss is your gain. $5000
What was the compression with the TA heads? Is the block cut to zero deck? What head gaskets were you running?
8.74 to one with a Cometics Head gasket. I will have to check on the deck height. I was running a twin turbo set up so did everything to avoid detonation.
TTT. Anyone. Not only are you getting the short block, but a new TA Timing cover, new hi flow water pump, Milodon pan, ATI Balancer, JW the Wheel flexplate, etc . Just those parts listed in addition are 2k. 0 decked, JE Pistons, Crower Rods, Nodular Iron crank, balanced, bored with TA torque plates with extra bolts for TA TE Heads, etc. The machining alone was well over 1k.
It's the TA pan. Thought it was Milodon. I have the receipt and it shows TA 1511A. $435 bucks for pan. Description is as follows. Wasn't trying to misrepresent, but every time I have seen this finish it has been on a Milodon pan. Thought TA just had them make pan for them like T&D makes the rockers that TA uses. High-capacity pan provides better oil control for high-volume oil systems. Deep sump prevents oil starvation. Features full baffle with trap door. Capacity 7-quarts.Pickup included. Gold-irridite finish. Hope that clarifies for anybody and not trying to rip anybody off.
