What is the switch on the dash next to the cigarette lighter marked "accessory" control? Neither of my cars had that knob.
That's the power top switch from a convertible only cluster. Sheesh, $18k+ for a clone, at least get the replacement parts right.
It's actually very sad that someone did that to what could be a very fine 65 GS . Then to think with the wrong tach , wrong seat covers , rear quarter antenna , aftermarket stereo , and all the other things that is wrong with it ... it's worth more money ? To bad someone from in here didn't get to this guy before he butchered a Skylark GS . Not to mention if that car really was stock , all numbers matching , and had the right Buick equipment on it , then it just might be worth 25K or so if it was a low 1 or high 2 car . Call me crazy but to me a 1965 Buick Skylark Gran Sport that's stock is one of the finest muscle cars to come out of GM . You can have your GTO's , 442's , or Chevelle's . I'd rather have a Buick that not everyone else on the block had , and when you take a 65GS to a non-Buick car show people's eyes just light up and you often hear " wow , never saw one of them before " . It's hard to believe but this thing is on eBay again ( 9/3/10 ) and at a $34,500.00 Buy It Now . Do these folks have any clue at all ? I don't think so . Is anyone near that car or know who's car this is ? It would be real interesting for someone who knows what their talking about to clue them in . That being said hope you all have a happy , safe holiday weekend . George
You notice that who ever owns or took pics of the car didn't take any from under it. That way you would see if the frame and control arm were boxed or not. I don't think they are. PONCH
Boxed control arm? '65 GS didn't come with boxed control arms from the factory. At least the 2 GS converts, 5 hardtops and 1 thin pillar coupe I've had,didn't. Loren
