Hold on a second... As far as I know, my 69 Riv AC/alt brackets are a MATCHED set and specific to my 69 Riviera. Later model Rivs don't fit and ANY other model won't fit. I am not sure his hood will close with any other bracket configuration that what is designed for his Riv. Also, the screw/hook thing isn't to prevent the mount from breaking, it is to prevent the engine from torquing over and jamming the accelerator pedal wide open WHEN the driver's side mount finally does break. Later models have a required "locking tang" to prevent this. Bruce Springsteen's Saxophone player, Clarence Clemons, was in a horrible wreck with an old 225 because the mount broke and jammed the gas pedal WOT.
Those motor mounts PLUS an accelerator cable were both 1968 DOT mandates (no more jammable rods). Even the double master cylinder happened for the 1967 model year. At least "some" good came out of the Nader years! ws
