You know, there is a lot easier ways to make 100-125k. WORK!

I think a lot of us are going over the deep end with this stuff. Plus, it is a gamble as an investment, to say the least. Whoever gets it better like it a lot, because they may be stuck with it. :pp

I hope whomever buys these will just have to donate one to a deserving member here :) Mopst of us cannot even dream of this kind of haul . I am guessing that someone that restores these cars and has the cash could do very well indeed . I still have 2 chances at the lottery before they sell. I am however realistic and I would have to get rid of all but one . Heres an idea . Every one here buy me a ticket to the multistate lottery . Send it to me and if I win I will donate one of the GSX's to whomever sent the ticket , then we can raffel the others off here . I guess its the thought of some rich guy getting these and then ebaying them and all the parts to make a profit makes me :(

It's easy to share your opinion without knowing the truth and the facts. I do know who owns the cars and I think he enjoys playing his sick games with all of the attention he gets by stringing along hard working people who truely appreciate all Buick muscle and who dreams of owning another GSX like I had back in school. Randy Jackson new my backgroud and history with Buicks and he played me like a fiddle! As for public office, I have no interest, so if you want to start something with me, step out side and if I'm not there, start without me!

Would anyone who knew what these cars are let them sit outside for this long ? Sure they're worth alot , but are a few tarps or a storage building ( He's got 100 acres, right? ) a bad idea ? Could've made alot more money and saved alot of work for someone down the road. Just my two cents.:Do No:

    Rotting away...

Very disturbing that these cars have been allowed to ruin.
Makes me wonder what the real story is.

You want the opinion of a true blue Buick lover. You cannot just let these cars rot away for years and then try to cash in!!!!!!! I only have two GS"S right now, because I have enough garage space for two. When I was a little younger I went through many GS as well as skylarks etc, but I always garaged the cars and took good care of them. When I had too many I would sell one to a friend for short money as long as he took good care of the car, most of them still have the cars today. I love my cars and treat them the way any Buick man would, Drive them hard, fix them when they break but most of all give them the respect they truly deserve and keep them undercover. When I see GSX"S and GS"S in such deplorable condition it makes me want to puke!!!!!! Instead of thanking some jerk for offering these for sale, I offer him a slap in the face for letting them rot away. Just like a dog owner that has his prize purebred tied too a tree out back eating garbage,These cars were left to rot. We dont treat our Buicks like that in MASS, SO THIS SCUMBAG CAN KISS MY :moonu: :beer

You guys are are right on the money.
I hate when people do not take care of what they have by not keeping it in at least a static as aquired condition .
To buy a cars like this, toss them out in a field ,carbs, engines, 4 speed consoles randomly scattered in the dirt, uncovered, exposed to the elements is disgraceful.
I realize not everyone can keep cars stored inside, but anyone can jack a car up on blocks and tarp it to keep the elements at bay with parts inside for safe keeping.
Beyond that ,it is great that the owner is hopefully ready to sell these valuable cars we all love than continue to be someone we all know that says "Not for sale I am going to fix er up someday"

And, as I say it again "how many more of these wil be recovered from Truk Lagoon or Iron Bottom Sound" it does seem a shame that he didn't offer the Titanic in the same auction. At least the title is more clear on that rust bucket.

    Hello all,

I have been Tom Hansen's friend for 24 years and have hunted cars with him for many years. (We restored a $600 GSX together in 1983). I joined him in visiting these cars many years ago (9-10?) and can vouch for his story and frustration. We walked around the cars and took pictures with the owner's knowledge and permission, so his claims of "trespassing" or not knowing Tom ring of deceit.
We often talk of his frequent contacts with Randy, or his brother-in-law, trying to figure out what his deal is. I believe anyone would be as frustrated/angry with such a "seller" and some have posted or emailed their similar experiences with this guy.
I'm no psychologist, so I can offer no insight on whats going on with this "seller". Cars are for sale, he says, so will the final bidder please share their experience?
    Sunshine is the best disinfectant!

I don't know any of the players ,but sometimes these situations are a combination of more than just a social anchor. Power(("I got something you want and can't have no matter who you are"). Greed ( "God forbid you fix them and make more money than me") . Lack of common sense ("Yeah I'm poor and I'm going to treat my property like sh!t ,so I can be poorer").

In the big picture they are his property and he can do or not do with it what he likes.

What the Hell was GSXVT talking about. Is he the guy that owns that muscle car junkyard in VT. thats for sale. Quite an impressive signature .

Am i wrong or has the bidding all but stopped in the last few days?

My observations from my years on Ebay- usually day 2 through day 5 is a snooze a thon. No real action. Everyone who has an interest has thrown their hat in the ring on day 1. The real action is going to be in the last few minutes of the auction. That ought to separate the men from the boys.

Dennis- correct ! and the "social anchor" umbrella covers all the situations you describe. I don't have any idea about the history of these cars or the seller, I just know from my own experience the "type" of people they tend to be and also as evident by the post's to the board.

I would NOT be surprised if the auction is canceled before the Superbowl, probably by the seller Randy Jackson! I would feel sorry for the high bidder (if there is a legitimate bidder) when Randy cancels the auction.

I also would NOT be surprised that Randy Jackson hasn't forced the bidding to it's current level himself some how with a friend or seperate account or something.

Thanks to all of the board members who have let me rant, it's actually been kinda theraputic. I have been a member for a while and have enjoyed this board alot. This board has helped me with research in the past and I can think of no better community then the Buick community here! Also, thanks from the support of friends with e-mails who know what all I have been through with this ...guy and others who also dealt with him in an effort to try to save these cars! And yes there have been others, I have gotten e-mails from them and for what ever reason they chose not to join in with further examples of their dealings with Randy Jackson.

I hope we all find out the true end result of this auction with the new buyer and they post here to let us know how it went.

Unless I have a relapse, I will try to keep my big mouth shut...for now.
    Thanks, Tom

Some of you guys are giving GSXSVT way to many props over his ebay experiences :boring: . Stop filling his head with the ideas of him being some super buyer.

Andrew, in defense of my post, I have lost a BUNCH of items to GSXSVT and was simply welcoming him to the board. No 'props', just a simple hello. :beer
