Ok, I found a couple more. Just to set this picture up a little- When I first called on the ad for the X, the seller told me he had the car stashed in a barn on a small farm in Huntington. This picture was taken as soon as he swung the door open on the barn. The car was absolutely filthy. I almost felt bad for it. I looked neglected. The funny thing was that the seller told me three other "Buick guys" had looked at the car prior to me and all three had walked away. All three claimed it was "way too much"
Here's one for the NE guys.... Can you guess who this is in the picture? And whats all the stuff on his head? Oh yeah...its HAIR!!!   You can barely make out my GSX just to the right side of the picture.
>>I like the bail of hay under the bumper! Too much! I wish that I was older and had the money to buy these cars in the pre-Barrett Jackson days. ray:
My god Hecker you look like Ron Jeremy. I graduated in '89. I don't miss the feathered hair. I look at my pictures and it looks like the only thing missing was a chin strap for the hair helmet.
This is the actual ad from the local paper Newsday. Check out the other ads! A 69 Riviera for 300 bucks! A couple of Austin Healey going real cheap too!
Ooowwwwww!! It burns, it burns! You better watch your back, lest ye get a Bronx beatdown from that guy.
Naa..you'll be fine.... Worst case, if you bring the 70 4-speed car (and we take that to go see the X) I'll drive back...you might be in no condition to drive. :Brow:
I didnt notice this until now. If you guys look back at my first post and look carefully at the W-30 interior shot, you can see my Bon Jovi inspired zebra striped bandana laying on the seat. Now THATS 80s!
BwahAHAHAHAHAHA !!!! Thanks Doug, I spit my coffee on the monitor from that one :TU: J. - is that Mark DeConti in that picture ??
Yup, thats Johnny! That pic was May 1985. It was at the LI Buick Club show when we used to have it at Berner H.S in Massapequa. Im pretty sure that was when I first met John. My blue 72 GS-350 was there as well being displayed by the original owner. I wouldnt own that car for another 21 years! I bought it just two years ago.
Here's an old pic my 71 GS exactly where I found it. It was sitting in someone's backyard. Run hard and put away wet. This pic was from 88/89. I cant remember, its a blur. I think I paid 1000 bucks for it. It was a mess but all original. Its hard to believe but it had solid floors and trunk. Came close to being a parts car! And here is the 71 at the 2006 BPG Nats. Its come a loooong way!
