This piece goes over the top of another metal part and is held on with 6 speed nuts. I had to cut the area on that part out with a die grinder. It had the A/C vent hole in it. If you have A/C I would maybe try the speaker area and put speakers in the doors or get the kick panels that have speakers in them.
