Looks great, Tom. Is this one yours, or your Dad's? Does that make a difference? I think there's as much of an art with the buffer and color sander as there is with the spraying when it comes to premiere paint jobs. Brian does magic. Drove Darrell's green car pretty well at Stanton, too. :Brow: :Brow:

So what kind of wheels are you going to put on it after you get those "garage wheels" off it?

Tom, I'm sure your Dad has a smile ear to ear. :TU: Tell your pops that it is one very fine car. As Lon said, I have a soft spot for silver. Love it!!!!

    Thanks for the compliments

Got this set of detail decals from Inline Tube for all the part's identification.

This kit is really neat :TU:

Very complete kit, and well worth the $50

Cover's almost everything on the car, brake line's, fuel line's, wiring, parking brake cable's,etc.
Had a garage full of people yesterday, almost like a mid winter Pure Stock party, or pre-shin dig.
Mark Barker(was paired with Stefina in Sep) and Darren Phillip's(71 GS350) were in town painting a 70 Road Runner, so they stopped by and :beer for a couple hour's.
Also had another friend Kip that own's a tri-power 66 GTO stop by, and between Bryan,Mark,Darren, Dad & I, all on him about bringing his car to the Pure Stock Drags, I think we just may have a new recruit :TU:

Tom - Thanks to you and your dad for the hospitality Sat.

As an eye witness for the rest of the readers admiring the car through photos-

Your admirations and praises are fully warranted. This is a very nice car.

And we most certainly "worked on the owner" to get him to bring the car to Stanton.

    darrenkp Love that Torque!

    Tom,

Thanks again to you and your Dad for the :beer .

I'll second what Mark said. That car is SWEET! :bglasses: And I love the color.

I'm sure it will attract lots of attention at Stanton. Not sure Bob and Dan will approve of the Craftsman shifter, though

Let's not forget the magic Tom did hanging and smoothing the quarter Bryan is buffing!

You can lay paint and buff a pig...but it would still be a pig! :beer

The quote I have always used is: "You can polish on a t*rd, but all it will be is a shiny t*rd." Yours works too!

I had forgotten that, Brian. Makes it even better yet. Very aware of importance of bodywork before finish paint as I financed much of my Masters degree rebuilding wrecks and painting cars when I left Oldsmobile. Used to be fun. Not anymore.

Everything the Millers do is impressive on these cars. Hiopefully some day they'll pick the right cars like Detweiler does. :moonu: :moonu:

    Wow, almost a month later

Progress has been a little slow the last few weeks. My wife had major surgery 2 weeks ago, so I've been Mr. Mom around the house while she recovers.

Dad & I hung the doors this past week, and Saturday Brian found a couple hours to sneak away from his 3 kids and wife to come down and buff on the door's.
It's actually starting to look like a car.

Bumpers are out being rechromed, now sending the dash out to Justdashes is the last big ticket item to pay for.

    all is well

    She's doing fine, thank you.

We will be at the party for sure. I've only had to miss 2, and that was due to circumstances beyond my control. So if the good Lord is willing, we'll be there.
