Thanks to the instant gratification exercise of Ebay, I now own another project, "always wanted one of these" type thinking... Maybe I should post in "help from above", need some divine intervention. Wheatie the garage cat knows something is up- 2 kittens in the trunk! they rode all the way from Indy- scared poopless and hiding in the fenders infront of the wheels! I cannot get to them yet! That looks a bit ruff, gonna be fun getting those lifters out of the matching ## block~ 3-speed stick GS 350- I picked it up in Indiana, good...2 Kittens were stowaways in behind the rear seat! !
Ted: Do you sleep? You are a maniac! Looks like garage space is the next thing on your shopping list. Rick
Say, if the project falls apart for ya, I'll take the hood, buckets, 4 spd linkage and setup, steering wheel, and the wheels.:bglasses: Jon
Nice try, guys... I have already offered Ted to buy the whole thing 2 days ago :bla: ou: ....and before the peanut gallery replies (you know who you are :bla: ), I am trying to buy/ save them all :moonu:
I've done my post buy due dillegence and have found the Engine matches Trannie matches (hard to see those 3-speed stampings!) Carb matches-350 Manual, how many?:TU: Now I need a core support.:beers2:
Geeezzez, Ted, your "Taj-Ma-Garage" must be bulging at the seams by now. ou: Is it time to start thinking about adding on a second floor and turning a twin post lift into an elevator, or what? I think that it high time that you got yourself a full time on site assistant there to help with your ever expanding work-hobby-load. :idea2: After all one person can only get so much accomplished by themself in a 24 hour day, and there are only seven of those in a week. Of course you'll need to set aside a few hours every week to go see that Psychiatrist! :eek2: I could be all packed up and heading your way about 36 to 48 hours from now, just say the word. As for a salary, I am probably the best bargain you could ever find that is fluent in Buick AND in English. I even have my own tools! All I would really need in exchange would be enough to cover the room & board expenses for me & three pet cats. ray: I am so ready to finally leave SoCal for good! Wild Bill once invited me to come out there and stay as long as I like. Don't wait too long to take me up on this proposal or I just might accept TopCat's offer instead. :3gears: My commercial driver license will sure come in handy for doing the piloting chores for you to all those shows in the Freightliner dragging that ten car transporter you would soon be able to fill. Can you buy cat food bulk packaged? Not very many AT ALL. You better check those production reports of yours.
Have you ever considered dry bulk transport? Seems like our primary shipper is always looking for quality drivers to transport "the other white powder"=flour :Brow: Ted
Yes, Ted, I have dragged a few "Powder Kegs" way back when I just got my CDL. Does that primary carrier of yours use the full condo sleeper tractors or just the shorter day-cab tractors without any sleepers? Our "Western-White-Powder" is Portland cement and that is some really nasty stuff to deal with in bulk. I hated that, not the equipment but the commodity. No matter how hard I tried to prevent it, that Cr@p would get into every pore in my skin and try real hard to stay there. Only bathing in watered down vinegar would purge it completely out of my skin.
This one is in the paint booth as we type....................... It will be an awesome paint job. Al Furnish is in Aurora Indiana - he has painted my black 'cat, the 67 GS CA, Dad's Cadillac V-16, dad's 78 Malibu (z06 power) and my 65 Skylark GS. All previous ones were with help from his sidekick John...John left; now Al is working with a really sharp bodyman and they are out to prove the quality from their shop is even better than before. Its going to be sharp! Now I'm going to have to take it off the frame and detail the bottom so the curtains match the rug. First things first though- 350/3speed has to be running for at least a year b4 the frame gets attention! new Pictures post Christmas. These are from a month ago:
Well, Wheatie is still well and the guard cat of the garage. We took the kittens found behind the back seat to the SPCA. I have 3 at home in a condo, thats plenty. :TU:
Ted is an animal for sure. No slacker here. Looks like it's coming along just fine. Always like the step children.
i was simply giving ted a hard time over restoring this car- as he posted/ emailed me the same pics several months ago. :TU: I applaude his progress and look forward to see the car finished. Ted, if your going to the BPG GSX show this year, first few rounds are on me!!!!:TU: :TU:
Excellent George, I'm definately going to be there!!!! Its great living in Ohio- GSCA nats, Norwalk, BPG all within range. :beers2: :beers2: :beers2:
Heck yeah, that tach is staying right there. I lied about the paint, plans interupted by life, painting still on for this week though- as of today looks like Thursday for firing up the paint guns. Looks like I'll just have to take some pictures of the 350 for entertainment! Ted
