No build sheet found! "So no actual proof"
Looking for previous owners, any info greatly appericated.
Previous owners confirmed back to 1975 and still looking.
    Ladysmith WI was the area.

I believe there are alot of strong clues as to its authenticity thought right?

Doesnt it have an extremely low body number?

Guys, Let me make this clear! Duane has not confirmed one way or the other as to rather it's legit.
I'm just stating that what I know from what I have learned that this is truly a legit GSX
I have checked date codes and I know what paint is factory and what sheet metal was replaced and repainted. I've taken all kinds of pictures of the paint and stripes. I have downloaded on my computer and examined at great extent.
I am not the expert by any means.
I have contacted one of the owners that was 18 when he owned this car back in 1978. He could not believe that the car still existed and described it exactly. He first remembered that it had orange stripes of some sort, a 4 speed with buckets and cloth top. When he got it from his brother he had to replace the engine.

Thanks, I hope to see the car one day again. The car appeared to be authentic, and that was the general consensus amongst all of us there. It was the "shady crew" that drove the car in that cast the doubt, yet, fueled the intrigue. What a day !

The shirtless guy I spoke to as they were parking it said the original engine was back at the garage under the bench. Looked to be an original and a new color that was not represented in the group of 71 X's I now understand a primered car there was a legit white with vinyl top car and now there has been another white car surface in the northeast. My personal fav would be a yellow stage 1 4 spd no option car. But those 71 colors were sweet!

I think it is really awesome to know someone has this much interested in preserving this peice of history. I commend you for the effort. Please consider registering the car in the GSX registry.

Looks like that makes three special order colors. Black, Red and now Verdemist Green.

    Way COOOLLLL ! ! ! !
