I was wonder if anybody knew of any cars that were going to be at stanton next month that have never been to the pure stocks before
I'm bringing all 6 barrels :3gears: vs only having 2 of the 6 like last year ou: Boy, is it a grand feeling when those 2 end carbs come open :bglasses:
New Jim should be bring an L88 Vette. I will be bringing the virgin Hemi although I hear Lyndon likely will not be bringing the S1. Look for slow times that represent exactly what they did back in the day. The jetting/timing curve are exactly as the factory built and I have tuned it as well as I can within all stock original parts allowed. Bob K. is not fearing this Hemi. I will also be bring a SC/360 Hornet if I get the motor done in time. The RA IV T/A is not going to be remotely ready so now I will focus on making the SC a reality. Wish me luck I will need it. I want a real car worthy of beating on to race as opposed to the Hemi. Plus the Hornet is a 4spd. which is my favored way down the track. Larry will have removed the original untouched motor from the LS6 Vette and have the race motor in. The gears will also be changed from the stock 3.36's. I will be dynoing the motor tommorow. Wish us luck again. See everyone soon. Mark
The only "full" pass was a spinning 2.3 60ft 14.63 @ 102.72 at Gonzos' race last November. That was with no "Tuning by Cannon". I'm sure there is more in it. Going to change the Mopar wires to something a little better and change the plugs that have been in it since '87 . Will see for sure. Lon OO====OO
Mark, sure hope you get the Hornet done in time. I've been told that there maybe three other AMCs coming plus mine. Only two AMCs for the last two years. I'll see everyone in five weeks. Who made that red, white and blue car anyhow? Bob
I know of a new car coming this year, a few of you know what it is, but I am not at liberty to say, the car is actually in michigan already for a few final touches, but it should be fun :TU:
You know......two that I forgot about. My buddies '69 Road Runner 426 425 Hemi, triple green, all original second owner. The car was ordered and used new to haul an Airstream. He has committed to go. And another friends '70 Coronet RT Convertible, sublime green 440 4v powered. Last I talked to him he was excited about going.
yeah, I am really happy about stanton being this close, I am really looking forward to seeing stefina tearing that 3 spd off the column going down the track
Hopefully all will go well. I shifted to second for the first time (in that car) Sunday. Smooth. Wanted some track time before.......won't be the first time fresh at a P/S race I guess. ou:
You finally did the sell job on your buddy with the RR!! :bglasses: I am sure that he will get over the fact that he is not surrounded by Mopars all weekend!! :TU: I also need to give you your 'Prize' for the grudge race in Martin! PM me with the flavor and save a spot for me in the parking lot in Alma! :beer
I can add one.........Ty T. from NewYork is bringing in his 1970 Z-28. Silver, black stripes, black interior. Sharp car. His first PSMCDR experience.
