Ok well I am still planning on having my car at Stanton I have the 427 painted and the old motor is ready to be jerked out. I have one little problem. I have a surgical proceedure being done Aug 30 and I am not sure I will be able to finsh the car . Donny has voluenteered to complete what ever I don`t finish and the engine builder said he will drive it so we will see how I feel . I can let someone else drive but I have to be there to watch him beat it lol..

I submit myself for drinking Casey's beer, as he's not gonna be there. And, as usual, I will be bringing the gyro pizza from East Lansing. I can take orders at your disposal, unless you'd prefer to have weenies in BBQ sauce.

Now what would really , REALLY, impress me is if you showed up with some genuine Philadelphia Hoagies. Something very unique about them, haven't found anywhere that comes close other than those little shops around there. When I was in high school, we would buy 100 of them (at $.50 each) as fund raisers at the highschool football games, Mayday, etc. I'm drooling at the thought.

Kinda like the Pit bar-b-q from Western Ky, Tennesee. Nothing else I've had comes close! Damn, I think i need a coupla road trips! :bglasses: :bglasses:

I can get you some fascimile ones from NYC, but from what I hear, Cheez Whiz is on the list of things you can't bring onto an airplane.

    Bob,
Help is on the way!!! AMX is ready to go!

Good luck with that beautiful SC 360 Mark!

Any other AM's out there ,that are coming to the race?
I know of at least one other, (another 71 S/C 360 Hornet) and possibly another AMX.

    Can't wait.

    Here's to a great event!

Sounds like we will have quite a few new ones at the Stanton Pure Stocks.

Still working on the '70 RT convertible guy.

It is going to be tight but hopeful on the SC. Short block is mocked up, had an issue with the balancer and got that handled, a flywheel issue in that it was the wrong year and style, new one due today leaving a bit of balance work yet, but the real hold up is the valves have not come yet. They told me they are shipped. If they get here I should be ready to crank her up in another week +.

I really want to be there in an AMC this year as lots are coming out and I want to join the party! Plus my first two options fell apart and I need a crash program to keep me focussed and stressed.

I am sure I am not the only guy who is never ready until the day after the race.

If I were ready way ahead of time with the car all sorted out I'd think something was really really wrong...

I wonder how Tim is doing?

Will Tim be doing the usual engine rebuild in the car trailer out in the Hotel parking lot the night before the race???
Just kidding Tim, you missed your calling, you should have been a NASCAR tire changer :TU:

Think Tim's a very busy boy right now with 2 cars to get ready. Said he hasn't had a chance to do anything with the AMC yet.
