Postons 800 cfm Q-jet. The track is in westhampton LI, I haven't been there in years. I'm not even sure of the name anymore,it has gone thru so much controversy and owners,it's constantly being threatened to close.Maybe somebody else from LI can know the name Alan? Larry? Moon?o No:
the good stuff I am running the TA 310 cam with Poston 10:1 forged slugs. Mild port job, 3 angle valve job, TA SP1 intake, TA headers, and edelbrock 750. I put a TCI turbo 350 behind it, and it only took about 4 months to shatter the stock 8.2. I now have an 8.5 and am looking good.
Oh, headers are 1 7/8 with 2.5 ID and flowmaster 40 series. turn downs at the rear end. I set off car alarms at idle.
Has anyone used the Poston S divder intake? I"m leaning toward it as opposed to the T.A. manifold with my 350, could use some feedback thanks.
Kenny, wish I knew. I built it while I was stationed in Germany, they seem to be a little short on 1/4 mile tracks. If you do find one, it'd be in meters, speed in Kph. They did have a chassis dyno though. Didn't make it there, cause they wanted 350 Euros ($400) to hook it up, and the s&#$ gave you kilowats, not hp and torque. I just got to CA, and now I am building the 69. If it doesn't sell soon on ebay, I may take it to Pamona speedway before it gets to hot. This car isn't as fast as my former 72GS, but I think it is probably solidly in the 13's. This thing is lightning fast on the low end, lays your head back till you let off the gas.
Jim, I had the Poston S divider on my 350 first, switched to TA's. Very glad I did. Better performing piece!!:Smarty:
