a little slow... I read this, went to another thread - then it hit me, dang near made milk come out my nose   ou: :TU:
They didn't break up, one member is leaving the band because he "found god". I still don't see why he couldn't "find god" and stay in the band, it's not like korn is some kind of satanic-backward-message-hated-in-the-bible-belt band.
dude, that's a pretty ignorant statement. by the way, did it mention where he found him? i've been looking for a while now.....
I agree..... they are a great band. I like quite a few of their songs. I think my fav is "Here to Stay"....... life goes on I guess, other bands will pop up and take their slot so-to-speak Mike
i dig the early Korn, but i don't know how you think he could continue in the band if he now has "Jesus Christ" as his "personal savior" (his words, not mine). I'm pretty sure that would make him a christian, and therefore lyrics such as.....wait, i can't say those words on here, but rest assured that God wouldn't look to kindly on them or the way they are used in songs such as: Kunt, A.D.I.D.A.S.,porno creep, need to, clown, freak on a leash, justin, beg for me, ect.
True christians make more sins than countable. I listen to AC/DC and that doesn't make me a satanic worshiper. I also listen to Rap, doesn't make me a bad person. Im a christian, but I understand that everyone commits a sin now and then, and hopefully when the time comes for most sinners there will be forgiveness. Back to the Korn thing, never listen to any of their songs, not really popular on modern day music station here.(Y101).
Korn has been one of my favorite bands since they put out their first cd. Whatever they do, and whatever Brian (the guitarist) chooses to do in the future, im sure it will be good because they are great musicians and the guitarist is an excellent guitar player. (in my opinion). I hope I didnt just start some sort of religious flame war that gets me in trouble.... Korn is not a satanic band, and neither am I. I just like music.
everybody sins, but if you're convicted that you're doing something wrong and have the power to do the "right" thing, shouldn't you do the right thing? looks like that's what's happening in this case; in response to why mechacode's statment is ignorant, read my second post. if it's still not clear, you obviously don't understand what following God, in the christian sense, means. Or you've never actually listened to Korn lyrics or watched their videos. either way, it makes the statment "I still don't see why he couldn't "find god" and stay in the band" ignorant; ignorant adj. 1. Lacking education or knowledge. 2. Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake. 3. Unaware or uninformed.
Its hard for me to say which one is my favorite. Each cd was something different, while yet maintaining their style the whole way through.... If I had to choose, id say Blind, Ball Tounge, Alone I break, and Got the Life. I also liked the Score soundtrack Jon Davis composed for the movie Queen of the Damned... I seen them in 98 for the Family Values Tour, and then again in 2000. Have you heard the Tribute to Korn? Its pretty good...
I knew some of their songs and liked what I heard on the radio. Then they covered Another Brick In The Wall, so I picked up their compilation. I really like them now. "Freak on a Leash" and maybe "Y'all Want a Single" and "Did My Time" Good cover of "Word Up'
Oh come on already. You can't be religious and say naughty things? There goes 99.99% of all the rappers by your logic.
