Sucks we were nowhere near the path of totality but it really does put into perspective how grand our universe is and how small each of us are, and how short of a time we spend on this planet.

We were in the path of totality, but it was cloudy (Buffalo!). I was impressed how dark it became, more than I anticipated, along with the speed of it becoming dark... very cool.

This is the last I seen of the eclipse before the clouds completely cover it. 2 hours later, very few clouds in the sky

We had intermittent clouds, so we were able to see as much as we wanted when the clouds broke. Always cool to see something like this.

Saw the one in 2017(no pics, though). It was a total eclipse in KC then. Very cool!

They say next one near KC will be about 20 yrs from now.

@Waterboy...pencil in Aug 12, 2045. Total eclipse over practically all of Florida.

Check out this article...Has listings of the projected future total solar eclipse paths.

Couple pics here in mansfield ohio. We had nice clear sky's.

It was really cool to see how much light came down from just the tiny sliver of sun snd then like switch it went an odd shade of dark. Dark enough all the auto lights on the shop turned on

Same as foxs den said. We were on a jobsite at the pymatuning campgrounds just north of jamestown, PA. Saw a few of those fire pyramids as well, it was really neat to see

Cam The Wonder Dog in Central Ohio.... eclipses in August of 2017 VS April 8th 2024. He was pretty much over it this year. He's an old man now at 11, and does not know what all the commotion was all about. Get. Off. His. Lawn.

Back in biblical times people would freak out about things like this. Its a sign God is pissed about something.

I have two cousins and their families who drove from Eastern Massachusetts to Northern Vermont to watch. I was not able to buy the glasses locally, so instead of watching the eclipse, I started installing the carburetor on the Buchev.

So check this out. It was crystal clear blue sunny skies yesterday here. Later in the afternoon, immersed in work (I work from home) I glance over out the window and I'm like wow, I can't believe how fast all these clouds rolled in, it looks like an ominous storm. I went back to working and I received a text with eclipse pics from my brother in NJ. All the sudden the light in my brain went on and I realized what a fool I was. lol I wasn't too far from the path as you can see below. I walked out front and still observed the last minute or two of that weird remaining dimness.
