$310.00. Sounds like a fair enough price. Work included the typical stuff tank, magnaflux, resurfacing, hardened seats, valve guides and new valve stem seals.:beer

Really nice price I was expecting to pay at least 400-500 for the work. The guys were even nice enough to teach me how to do a complete head job. If you have the tools it easy enough. But yeah local place. Cyberbuick and I got some good quotes for a complete job on a 455:Brow: Heads, block, balancing on the crank, line bore, etc. So im thinking that is my summertime project. Im thinking some TA heads for some nice power in the 500 range.

Where were you yesterday? The others were there, said you were probably still sleeping. That was about noon.

Allright goods news. I will be getting a replacement head with the same casting number.:TU: It turns out the head had a nice hole where the hardened seat was placed. I guess the hole was there and the machine shop missed it. Well to make it right for my lost time they are giving me the replacement head and a set of gaskets. Looks like Saturday I will replace and fire up my boat.:Brow:

If you come and get the dist tomorrow, you can fire it up with all that new stuff!

And, you could bring the Guardrail Killer, just to navigate!

Ivan - That must have been quite a hole to leak like it did - without even any pressure in the system!!:Dou:

Glad to hear they're making things right!:TU:

I'm still going to try to make it up to LA this weekend - probably for the last time....at least for a while.

Aha, this muxt mean the freeway concrete assault kill weapon is out of the towing yard and in good hands again, finally.

GSX, better to stay here, no bugs, no muggy weather, there's all kinds of car events, what's to leave for over that! Stay here.

Arc, call before you venture out, as I may be running amok and causing fix-it here and there
