Congrats Bobb! Way to go! I was wondering when the pic from Norwalk would show up, I least I didn't post it! Good luck this weekend at Milan! Kick some butt again. Look for my friend Keith Seymour with a '73 Chevelle 454, at least I think that's what he is still running, saw him yesterday, they were going to go set up tomorrow, and be ready to rock on Saturday!
The new rumor is you ran 9.84???

Jeff, you better get lined up! Time to buy a plasma cutter, or go see John 'runner-up' Stevens, cause he's got one! You can always put more weight on, but taking it off means no Bud Light etc. R

Well........On the NSCA website it shows Bobb with a 10.03@132+ qualifying time which was good enough for best MPH in the class.
    Jeff Hart also ran 10.33@128+

Both are running "American Musclecar" at Milan.

    Great job Bobb!!!!

Looks like the sub-500CI engine may be the way to go with these new blocks until we get some REAL cylinder heads.

    Big fun

I will tell anyone out there if you like to race and have fun NSCA is the way to go. Your not so busy racing that you can't watch pat musi run 6.60's or any of the other really fast stuff.

    Here's the story:

Saturday morning I spent some time helping Jeff Hart get his car Straightened around after making some changes to the suspension. There were some of the guy's that I was there with trying to get me to go make a test run and see where we stood on the Index. I said no I have a plan :Brow: . I'm going to wait till first round and run it with everything cold but the motor to keep it slowed down. The last time out I did this and it netted me a 10.05 off the trailer that would put me in pretty good standing on the index. Fast forward to first round I launch the car easy and run it through to a 9.991 well it almost worked. Going faster than the index is bad sends you to the end of the line. Second round I decided to lift at the tall end to scrub off some time so I would be in a better spot on the ladder. I let it fly with a nice red light (getting really good at them this year) but the car seemed doggy off the line so I stayed in it and that got me the 10.03 but the sixty foot was only 1.38 so that was off some from previous runs.
Sunday came with me in the number 8 spot on the ladder I had to race a 10.75 index camaro the car left like a rocket and I caught him at about the 1000 foot lights I ran it out to about 1200 feet and lifted to a 10.02 the car was on a low 9.90 pass which for the weather was better than I thought it could run. I was darn happy with that. Then second round came and so did the red light left way early then lifted then stabbed it again to just run it out the old pig didn't et well but it still ran over 132 mph in high 80's heat and High humidity I was happy with the way the car ran all in all. :TU:
I hope we could get more cars out there in the future it sure is fun to out run the other brands I tell you a lot of people stop by to look at the cars.

Way to go my friend, was fun to watch you and Jeff on Sat, and the expression on your face with your 9;991 off the cool grassy area. Was wondering how you would do Sunday, the hum-ididy was NASTY, i guess the big "pig" as you call it has big Cahunas!!!
Was sure nice to see a BUICK in the "A" class!!!!

Yall have to go to one of these races.....watching the outlaws run 210mph was soooo cool too! Heck even the wheel standing Mopars was a hoot!!! Tho they ran mid 10's.

Congrats Bobb, it is about time....you sure have earned it!

Also..never forget to NEVER let me touch your carb again.:spank:

Congratulations to Bobb on putting on an awesome show at the NSCA event in Milan. His car is truly awesome to watch run. :beer :TU:
I broke a sprag (IT IS IN MANY PIECES) in, the Transmission on my second qualifying run (Buick power) I will be ready for the Stanton race next weekend though. Had an awesome time and will be in Salem for the next NSCA event running the American Muscle Class.
John, I am thinking he does have that picture on his desktop after all his wheels are in the air almost as high as mine! Here is a picture of my first qualifying run.

    Great Job Bobb!

Bobb, while you were in MI going two rounds I was in Bowling Green doing the same thing. My Bowling Green luck ran out the second round I guess. Hope to have it back again this weekend as I'm running the Hot Rod Reunion race. I'm sure glad you are there to keep a fast Buick in American Muscle. They sure hate to see a Buick making them look bad. Sorry Jeff broke a transmission. We need to fill up the field with fast Buicks. I could still not run very fast in BG, even after putting on new tires. We had killer bad air so in a brilliant moment I decided to slow down to 11 second bracket. How did that work you ask? NOT!
I had over 200#'s in the car and shifting early and still too fast. Only got one qualifying run and I ran to the 1000' and just coasted the rest of the way to 10.975 @ 104. Yes too fast and the bottom of the ladder. Sunday, won first round with a 10.93 and in the second after a .012 light managed to give it away by .018 at the line by slowing up too much. Looking forward to seeing you in Martin and maybe on a good track and some air I can be back to normal.
