I need a stroker or more converter to get my wheels up but I bracket race (or try to) and local track has marginal traction.

Boy scouts? Take em to the track with you....

It certainly will be awesome to have that many fast Buicks at the next event! :beer
Thanks for the comments Doug, despite my breakage it still was a fun weekend. :TU:
Bruce, my suspension is pretty basic consisting of Metco uppers and lowers, 12-way adjustable shocks and a giant sway bar. I think I can adjust out the last little bit of unevenness in the launch also.

I heard that you had the package to beat I'm just trying to catch up. You have the master in your corner to help with the car and if I remember right you plan on lightening that car up mine still is heavy as hell and I have no plans of cutting it up anymore. From what the farmers almanac say's it won't matter how they run when it is cool out they need to be able to run when it is hot as hell. Salem is supposed to be damn hot that month. I'm going out this weekend to set a new best if you want to come:Brow: I keep telling jeff 9.65 is my next goal:confused: . He laughed I don't understand:Do No:.

High pressure system and a high of 70 maybe 9.65 isn't that far off:laugh:  . I got the air bleed drills and some blanks now I can adjust the damn carb. That car has to have more in it with a tune up :Do No: . just checked the timing from putting the motor in two months ago:rolleyes: .

are you trying to say you weigh less than me i'm kinda like a blimp full of hot air. That doesn't weigh much. Yea and some people like my girlish figure :Dou: . If I could lose 100 that car would be at race weight. and running 9.55'sLOLOLOL

Actually Bobb, I think Gary was suggesting that you let him put your car on the same diet he used on his own car. I believe he wants you to walk away from the car while he goes at it with a plasma cutter! That was my take anyway.:Do No:
BTW...You are a good lookin' man. Don't let anyone tell you you aren't!

Your Wife is cuter than mine,So I can't knock you on your appearance......
I'm just saying there are alot of tasteful ways to remove weight w/o taking away from the car.

I don't disagree I just have plans to retire that car in a couple of years and plan on it returning to street use on a daily basis. I figure I should be able to put it on pump gas and still have it run 10.80's. cutting it up more seems to be a waste of time at this point so I just have to get it to go faster as a heavy weight.:TU:

ps I'll tell my wife you think she cute   wonder what she will say.

Hhmmm, Bobb is "planning on returning the car to street use" What should we believe he is doing after that?

    a) Retiring from racing?

    b) Building a Q16 tube chassis car?

    c) Starting a new career as a runway model?

    d) None of the above

    Hhhhhhmmmmmmmmm! :Do No:

PS - How many linear feet of chromemoly tubing does it take to build a tube chassis? :Do No:

PPS - I think your wife is cute too! :TU:

Oh sure......now Doug wants in on my action.
Make sure she nows I started it!

    Bob
I know what you mean about street use......I'm too nervous to drive my car too much on the street.
    I do about 30 miles a summer....
I look at "toddsgs" 70 GS that goes 10.30's on radials and think,"I could really enjoy something like that".
I think it's only about 10.6 to 1 copression too.
Then I reallize how hard it would be to slow down.

Let us know how it goes this weekend.....I'll be waiting anxiously.

My clunker is apart....Putting on my crank trigger and a new/bigger vacuum pump.
